MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry skipped a cousins lunch during their Jubilee visit after “not checking the family’s diaries”.
Mike Tindall, 43, revealed that while key members of the Royal family had a meal after the Trooping the Colour on Thursday, the Queen’s grandchildren enjoyed a lunch together.
Appearing on The Good, The Bad and The Rugby podcast, Zara Phillips’ husband said “the cousins” spent some quality time together after watching the grand event from the Major General’s Office.
Mr Tindall said: “It was outstanding, to be fair. It was just great to be a part of.
“‘We had a good cousins’ lunch on the Thursday. That was a highlight.”
But it is understood the Duke and Duchess of Sussex went straight back to Frogmore Cottage after watching the event with the Tindalls.

The snub follows an expert’s claims Prince Harry wants an apology from the Royal Family over the way he was treated during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Angela Levin, who spent a year with the Duke of Sussex while writing his biography, claims the royal is “absolutely furious”.
And she alleges he didn’t think to check brother William’s diary before boarding the plane back home with wife Meghan and children Lilibet, one, and Archie, three.
It’s understood that William and Harry did not meet privately during the four-day bonanza.
The Sussexes did meet with the Queen – although their request for a photograph of the monarch with her namesake, baby Lilibet, was turned down, it’s understood.
They are also believed to have met with Charles and Camilla behind closed doors.
During the chat, Mr Tindall discussed the struggles of being a parent and trying to ensure the kids are on their best behaviour.
He said: “It’s tough for them. They’re all young.

“It’s a long time. But as any parents knows you just do whatever needs to be done.
“Louis, he was just wanting to have fun. And my two are always mischievous so it’s trying to keep a lid on. There were a lot of sweets out back though, so there was a real sugar high.”
