Meghan Markle risks the wrath of the Royal Family after hailing her and Prince Harry’s ‘service’

MEGHAN last night risked the wrath of the Royal Family after she hailed her and Prince Harry’s “service”.

She made the barbed comment as she took to the stage and kissed him at the Invictus Games opening.

Meghan’s comments come after the Queen confirmed in 2021 that the royal couple would not ‘continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service’

Harry also took to the stage to address competitors

Her fresh jibe about Megxit came as she addressed competitors in his event for injured military veterans.

It follows their riposte last year after the Queen confirmed they would not “continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service”.

The couple had responded with a terse statement: “We can all live a life of service. Service is universal.”

And in Holland last night, Meghan told the ex-military heroes at the games set up by Harry: “Thank you so much for your service and thank you to all the family and friends that are here who have been supporting you along the way.

“Because this is service, this is dedication and this is the Invictus family.”

Ingrid Seward, royal commentator and editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, called it “an interesting choice of words”.

She added: “It’s evocative language and perhaps is slightly barbed, there’s definitely a little innuendo there.”
