A NEW clip of Meghan Markle sobbing on the floor has been released as part of the trailer for the upcoming Lifetime film Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace.
The fictional flick, which is set for a release this autumn, focuses on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepping back from royal duties.
The trailer shows a scene of a distressed Meghan, played by actress Sydney Morton, in Harry’s arms on the floor.
Meghan previously opened up to Oprah Winfrey about the downsides to being in the royal family, and said that Prince Harry “cradled her” before they attended a Cirque du Soleil performance at Royal Albert Hall in 2019.
In another scene, the Queen can be seen telling off Harry and William for “fuelling uncertainty” while Meghan tells her husband “they need to hear the truth”.
Many royal fans were quick to comment on the new trailer on YouTube, with one saying: “Oh I was sooo hoping this would be a hilarious parody”
Another added: “Can’t wait to NOT watch this.”
Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace will air on Lifetime on September 6 in the US, but no date has been announced for the UK yet.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry, played by Jordan Dean, insisted he’ll “do everything in his power to keep his wife and son safe”.
Kate Middleton is also portrayed in the movie, and is seen in the trailer saying that marrying into the royal family is what they “signed up for.”
The on-screen Duchess of Cambridge could be seen saying: “This is the life we signed up for. Here, we value dignity above all else.”
In the previous trailer, Meghan’s character seemed increasingly upset with royal life, saying: “I never thought this would be easy. But I wanted to make the Queen proud.

Meanwhile, another clip showed the Queen, Harry, William and Kate sitting together having a tense discussion – which could be depicting the run up to Megxit in January 2020.
The TV movie is the third in a trilogy on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by Lifetime, with the previous two movies each being played by a different leads.
Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance in 2018 and Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal in 2019 focused on the early days of their relationship and their wedding respectively.
According to Deadline, the movie plot for the third film will share a fictionalised account of “what really happened inside the palace that drove Harry and Meghan to leave everything behind in order to make a future for themselves and their son Archie.”
The movie will also “detail Meghan’s growing isolation and sadness, their disappointment that ‘The Firm’ was not defending them against the press’s attacks and Harry’s fear that history would repeat itself and he would not be able to protect his wife and son from the same forces that caused his mother’s untimely death”.
Meghan and Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, which took place in March, will also be shown in the movie.
