I’M A Celebrity star Mike Tindall, 44, has been slammed by royal experts as “embarrassing” the Royal Family.

He’s married to the Queen’s granddaughter, Zara Tindall, and Royal Expert and Commentator, Michael Cole, believes he’ll come to regret his decision to appear on the ITV show.

In an exclusive chat with The Celeb Report, Michael weighed in on the conversation, and said: “I thought immediately, Mike Tindall. This is a very unwise decision.

“It’s an embarrassment. There’s nothing to gain, except money. Now, I’m quite surprised that Mike Tindall doesn’t know this, I can only imagine that he needs the money or wants the money to finance what I imagine is quite an expensive lifestyle with three young children.

“He ought to know better is all I can say, because the only thing he has got to gain out of this is the money.”

Tindall is said to have £15.7million, thanks to brand partnerships, sports deals and his The Good, The Bad & The Rugby podcast.

He’s rumoured to have been paid up to £150,000 for his appearance.

The commentator went on to say he’d have thought Mike would’ve had “enough excitement on the rugby pitch” and wouldn’t need to take part in the show.

“Your dignity is left at the door when you enter into any one of these sort of reality shows or the gate of the jungle. And however, it turns out, he’s unlikely to enhance his personal persona,” Michael commented.

Adding: “One wonders why he has to do it. I come back to what I started with. I think it’s a very unwise decision. And perhaps it’s one he will regret.

“These are relatives of The King. These are the grandchildren of his sister Princess Royal, the three little children that they have. It’s going to impinge upon them. What is going to happen in the jungle that’s going to in any way enhance his reputation?

“It’s not an enterprise that somebody in the Royal Family ought to be contemplating.”

Since entering the jungle, Mike has already spilled the tea on life in the Royal Family.

He recounted the tale of wife Zara dramatically giving birth to their son Lucas on their bathroom floor, after a midwife insisted she wouldn’t make it to hospital.

He also revealed some fun details about his first date with the Queen’s granddaughter.

Speaking inside main camp, Mike told Babatúndé and Owen about their first encounter, and said: “I was at the World Cup, she was out watching.

“I got dropped from the semi-final. I was p****d off and so I went for a beer with another guy who got dropped and a guy who was over [in Sydney]. They’d met her before and they introduced us and then got chatting.”

Owen replied: “So if you never got dropped you never would have met her?”

Mike said: “Best decision of Clive Woodward’s life.”

Owen added: “Thank god he dropped you.”

Speaking about his first date, Mike added: “First actual date, just went out for lunch locally.

“And ended up being quite a boozy one. Then we figured out that we both quite like getting smashed. It was a good start.”
