KIM Jong-un has sent a letter of congratulations to the Queen to commemorate her 70 years on the throne.
The North Korean dictator sent a mystery celebratory message to Her Majesty as she kicked off the Platinum Jubilee.
The North Korean foreign ministry confirmed the correspondence after royal fans worldwide sent their best wishes.
But officials refused to reveal the contents of the letter, saying it was a private message addressed to the 96-year-old monarch.
A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said: “The private message from Kim Jong Un to Her Majesty The Queen to mark her Platinum Jubilee is in line with standard practice of receiving messages from countries with whom we have diplomatic relations.”
And it is not the first time the heads of state, who both inherited their power from their fathers, have been in touch.

In September last year, the Queen sent Kim her well wishes in a message to mark his country’s National Day.
It read: “As the people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea celebrate their National Day, I send my good wishes for the future.”

The Queen is the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee and the UK is enjoying four days of celebrations in her honour.
In a touching message, former US President Obama hailed the Queen’s reign and her “grace and generosity”.
He recalled his first trip to greet her with his wife Michelle, describing how Her Majesty “put them at ease” and touchingly said she reminded him of his grandmother.
Joe Biden and wife Jill also followed suit, posting a video message where they wished the royal a “joyful Platinum Jubilee celebration.”
The US President added: “On behalf of the United States, congratulations to Queen Elizabeth II on an unprecedented 70 years of service to the UK and Commonwealth and thank you for your friendship to the American people.”
And French President Emmanuel Macron hailed the Queen as the “golden thread” binding France and the UK in a video message.
He said: “Through these transformations, your devotion to our alliance and to our friendship has remained, and has helped build the trust that brought freedom and prosperity to our continent.”

Pope Francis also shared a poignant message to the Queen as the historical Bank Holiday began.
He added: “On the joyful occasion of Your Majesty’s birthday, and as you celebrate this Platinum Jubilee year, I send cordial greetings and good wishes, together with the renewed assurance of my prayers that Almighty God will bestow on you, the members of the Royal family and all the people of the nation blessings of unity, prosperity and peace.”
But she isn’t holding out for an acknowledgment of her achievement from Russian warmonger Vladimir Putin.
Presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the government will announce over the coming days if the despot will extend his respects.
Celebs joined in on applauding Her Majesty too, with the likes of footie ace David Beckham leading the tributes.
The Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney also paid tribute to Her Majesty with a throwback photo of them in Liverpool 24 years ago.
