Prince Harry & William have ‘weekly video calls’ to mend rift before reunion at Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, source claims

PRINCE Harry and William are having weekly video calls to mend their rift ahead of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, sources claim.

The brothers include their children in the FaceTime chats and also message over WhatsApp several times a week.

Princes William and Harry are having weekly video calls

The brothers are said to be “back on their old buddy terms”

But Meghan Markle, 40, and Kate Middleton, 40, are understood to have not joined the video calls to give their husbands one-on-one time.

Harry and William are said to be “back on their old buddy terms” ahead of next weekend’s Jubilee celebrations as a result of the contact.

A source told the Mirror: “The brothers needed time for everything to settle down. The family, including William, had been disappointed in the way Harry and Meghan chose to leave the Royal Family.

“But now there is a strong feeling that what happened is in the past and that they have moved on.

“William sees that Meghan is a good mother and loyal wife and he is genuinely pleased for his brother.

“It seems that the two of them have healed the rift and are very much back on their old buddy terms.

“Meghan’s distance from Kate has also helped heal the friction between the two men.”

The Duchess of Sussex and Duchess of Cambridge have not spoken with one another since Harry and Meghan left royal life two years ago.

Meghan claimed in her Oprah Winfrey interview that Kate made her cry during a bridesmaid fitting for her wedding in 2018.

But she is said to be looking forward to the celebrations next weekend and will fly to Britain with Harry and children Archie, three, and Lilibet, 11 months, tomorrow night.

It comes after Prince William today practiced for the Trooping the Colour ahead of the Jubilee.

He took part in the near-full run-through this morning as he prepared to step in for the Queen, 96, during her annual birthday parade next week.

The Queen’s birthday celebrations, which will take place on June 2, see her Household Division troops march and ride on Horse Guards Parade.

We told today how Harry and Meghan’s girl Lillibet turns one next Saturday, throwing a spanner into the Platinum Jubilee works for courtiers.

A source said: “Harry and Meghan will want to celebrate Lilibet’s birthday somehow with their family.

“But diaries are full on Saturday.

“There isn’t much wriggle room to fit in a birthday party for a one-year-old.

“These events have been planned far in advance and the Sussexes have not exactly made their plans clear or public.”
