PRINCE Harry turns 37 today, and a royal expert has claimed that it is “incredible” how much has changed for the royal in just five years.
Royal expert Phil Dampier said the Duke of Sussex, who stepped down as a senior royal last year, will look back at this birthday and “regret” feuding with his family and giving up his birthright but he’s “made his bed.”
Phil, author of Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan In Their Own Words, told Fabulous: “As Harry turns 37 it’s incredible to look back five years and see how much he has changed and his life has changed.
“Five years ago he was one of, if not the most popular member of the royal family, regarded as a war hero, one of the lads, a good laugh and the world’s most eligible bachelor.
“Now he is married, a father, a woke warrior and, sadly, very unpopular.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently living in an £11million mansion in Santa Barbara, California, with their two kids, Archie, two, and Lilibet, who was born on June 4.
Phil added: “Harry was a bit lost and clearly had bottled up for many years his feelings over the death of his mother and the circumstances of her death.
“Meghan is a strong woman and maybe he needed that.

“But it’s a shame that her influence has resulted in him leaving his country of birth, giving up royal duties and falling out with his blood family, just as she has done with hers.”
Phil said he thinks Harry will be “devastated” he has lost his connection with the military, after he was stripped of his titles following giving up royal duties.
He added: “Now his only link is through the Invictus Games, his one true achievement.”
And sadly, the royal expert doesn’t think the rift between Harry, William and Charles will be healed easily.
The last time the princes met face-to-face was at the unveiling of a statue of their late mother, Princess Diana.
And while they appeared to be on good form for the event this summer, Harry left just 20 minutes after the statue was revealed before returning to the US.
Phil said: “Maybe in a few years time he will regret some of his actions, but at the moment he seems to be on a mission.
“There’s no doubt in my mind that Meghan is responsible to some extent, but of course Harry has to make his own decisions.”
Phil continued: “Harry is writing a book and there is that fear of what further bombshells he will unleash.
“The general public in the UK is fed up with Harry and Meghan’s witterings, and I get the impression people of all ages in the US are also tiring of their constant woke outbursts.”

The author said that it is “not a good look” for Harry to not want to build bridges with his family and with him “running to lawyers at the drop of a hat.”
He concluded: “I have said before that I don’t think Meghan will ever return to the UK, as she would receive a hostile reception, and it’s becoming harder for Harry too.
“It’s a great shame but he has made his bed and must now lie in it.”
