Sarah, 61, said thanks to a group of binmen by offering a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

She later said thanks with a thumbs up as the men let her cross the road in their motor.

The Royal was seen standing by a stall holding a paper plate with “Merry Christmas” on it.

She was seen clutching a bouquet of red flowers while she stopped to meet local residents.

Her youngest daughter Princess Eugenie, 30, is expecting her first child with husband Jack Brooksbank.
