Show Would Create 'Great TV' and Feature Famous House Hunters, Says Lee Juggurnauth
A Place in the Sun presenter Lee Juggurnauth has urged Channel 4 bosses to produce a celebrity version of the popular property show. Since joining the programme in 2021, the beloved presenter, 35, has become a staple of the series, which follows Brits seeking to sell their homes and relocate to sunnier climates.
While ordinary members of the public can currently sign up for the show, Juggurnauth believes that introducing a celebrity edition would take the programme to new heights and provide "great television." In an exclusive interview with The Celeb Report, he expressed his desire to pitch and produce the celebrity version, stating, "They do need to make a celeb version. We should pitch the show, we can produce the whole show."
Dream House Hunting Partners: Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, and Adele
During the interview, Juggurnauth also revealed his dream house hunting partners for the celebrity edition. Topping his list were former US president Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama. Juggurnauth believes they would make excellent house guests and bring an intriguing dynamic to the show.
Additionally, he expressed a strong desire to house hunt with British singer-songwriter Adele, stating, "I think we would have fun looking at properties because she is very black and white. Her going around would be fantastic TV. She would be great."
Industry insiders frequently seek recommendations from Juggurnauth on ideal property locations, and his expertise and perspective in the celebrity version of the show would be highly valued.
