THIS Morning host Alison Hammond left fans in hysterics as she “forgot” she was live on air – leaving Dermot O’Leary open-mouthed.
The presenting duo were joined by resident chef Clodagh McKenna, who was giving viewers advice on the perfect “autumnal tablescaping”.
The Irish chef, who was live from Hampshire, showed some of her best table designs.
After her segment, the camera panned to a shot of the hosts from the ITV studio.
However, telly favourite Alison was missing from her chair, leaving Dermot bewildered as he stared at her empty seat.
He remarked: “Oh for god sake!”
Instead, Alison was spotted enjoying a chat with TV dating expert Paul C Brunson on the coach.
Perching on the famous blue sofa, Alison was deep in conversation with the Celebs Go Dating star when Dermot interrupted their conversation to tell her that they were still live on air.
A shocked Alison gasped: “Are we live on air?!”
She then sprinted across the studio and rejoined her co-host in her usual seat.
The TV favourite chuckled as she returned to her spot and joked that she was “terrible”.
Viewers were left in hysterics by her hilarious blunder, with one writing: “Alison, you are literally the best thing on telly.
“I just need my daily dose of THE HAMMOND. Thank you for bringing fun and sunshine to our lives.”
