ASHLEY Banjo will rake in millions in 2022 after his BAFTA TV Awards win as he reveals new TV shows, tour and launch of Diversity dance studios.
Diversity’s Black Lives Matter dance won a Bafta after the dance troupe’s epic routine on last year’s Britain’s Got Talent which received over 30,000 complaints.
Ashley fought back tears after Diversity scooped the Must-See Moment Award at the star-studded Bafta TV Awards last night.
In an exclusive interview with The Celeb Report, Dancing on Ice judge Ashley, 32, revealed lucrative deals for Diversity next year, and said: “There are a lot of new TV projects and shows in the pipeline I can’t mention yet but they include The Void game show for ITV, the new Diversity Tour and the opening of the brand new Diversity Studios which we’re really excited about!
“But also some new projects that aren’t on the TV that you’ll be able to stream… Watch this space.”
Speaking as part of his Kingsmill and TikTok partnership to encourage people to get fit post lockdown, he said: “Goals haven’t changed for us… Still love what we do, still plan to throw Perri around a bit and we still plan to just keep creating and keep touring. “
He added: “We have our biggest tour of the UK and Ireland ever starting in Spring 2022 called ‘Connected’ and I can’t wait to get back on the road with the team!”
Last night Ashley relived the ‘dark time’ amid racist abuse as Diversity’s Black Lives Matter dance won a Bafta.
It comes as Ashley, his brother Jordan and his fellow performers also received horrific abuse online, and Ashley made reference to that “dark time” as he accepted the award.
His voice full of emotion, he said: “I’m in bits man, this is mad. This is so much more than an award.
“I want to say first thank you to every single person who voted for us, it means so much.
“Thank you to everyone who stood by us, every phone call, text, comment, DM, you guys made the difference to what was a really dark time.
“Being in the storm of 30,000 complaints, just a torrent of racially charged abuse, threats, all of it, it was a very dark time, but that support made a difference.”
He then surprisingly thanked the social media trolls and haters, saying: “In a way, I have to say thank you to the people who complained, to the people who did put all that abuse out there online, because you showed the truth.
“You showed exactly why this performance and this moment was necessary.”
