BBC Breakfast viewers shocked as Carol Kirkwood AND Naga Munchetty are missing in presenting shake up

BBC BREAKFAST viewers were left shocked as Carol Kirkwood AND Naga Munchetty were mysteriously missing on Friday’s episode.

This week Charlie Stayt was joined by Rachel Burden once again as Naga whereabouts are still unknown.

Weather reporter Carol Kirkwood was also absent

Naga, 47, has yet to speak out about her absence from the BBC breakfast show.

Weather presenter Carol, 59, was also missing from the morning programme, just days after confirming she had landed a ‘new job’.

Carol was replaced by Sarah Keith-Lucas, who presented the weather report in her absence.

Viewers were baffled that their favourite presenter and meteorologist was missing yet again.

One wrote: “Where is Naga and Carol gone? #BBCBreakfast”

Another posted: “Was hoping to see Naga Munchetty on BBC Breakfast today!!”

Meanwhile Dan Walker, who has revealed why he is leaving the popular morning show to become lead anchor on Channel 5 News, has also been missing for the last two weeks.

The popular host has instead been replaced by Jon Kay for his usual Monday to Wednesday stint.

This comes after weather presenter Carol sparked outrage as it was confirmed she would also be appearing on BBC’s Morning Live with Kym Marsh and Gethin Jones.

During a live link with Morning Live on Wednesday’s show, Kym said: “We could be in for a treat with the weather this Bank Holiday, fingers crossed!

“Legendary weather presenter Carol Kirkwood tells us why temperatures are set to be hotter than Majorca, thanks to some Saharan gusts!”

However, Sally and Jon were not pleased to hear about Carol’s appearance on the rival channel.

Sally said: “Hands off Carol Kirkwood, she’s ours! What’s she doing on Morning Live?”

Jon added: “She’s moonlighting! Carol! We’ll hear from Carol in a few minutes with the weather.”

But Carol doesn’t seem to be leaving anytime soon as she is just appearing as a meteorological guest on the morning show.

Viewers were shocked after Strictly star Dan announced he is quitting his role on the BBC for a job on Channel 5 news.

The broadcaster, 45, will be hosting the channel’s revamped 5 News, as well as a number of other shows for the broadcaster.

Dan will be hosting alongside Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije and has taken over from Sian Williams.

The star presented BBC Breakfast for six years after replacing Bill Turnbull in 2016.
