Big Brother Introduces New Nominations Process Ahead of Second Eviction

Housemates Prepare for Second Eviction

Big Brother has announced a major shake-up to the nominations process as the housemates gear up for the second eviction. Last week, each of the 16 contestants nominated one housemate to face the first public vote. However, in a new twist revealed during Monday night's episode, each housemate will now nominate two of their fellow contestants for eviction.

Contestants with Most Nominations to Face Public Vote

The new nominations process will result in the contestants with the most nominations facing the public vote. The nominations will take place on Tuesday, with the results being revealed during Wednesday's programme. ITV has confirmed that the second live eviction of the series will take place on Friday.

In-App Voting

This year, Big Brother has switched to a new voting format, with viewers now voting to evict rather than vote to save. The show has also abandoned the use of telephone lines for voting, following a growing trend of using purely in-app voting to determine the results. This format has already been used on shows like Britain's Got Talent and Love Island for several years.

Big Brother continues to air on ITV2 and ITVX.
