Despite the constant rumours and flirtatious interactions, Paul insists that he and his girlfriend are secure in their relationship.

Paul also accused show producers of editing out crucial scenes that would have shed light on the true nature of his relationship with Olivia. He believes that the narrative was pushed from the beginning, leading to a misinterpretation by viewers.

Paul emphasized that he and Olivia were just friends and that there was never any physical contact between them. He explained that the housemates found comfort in giving each other hugs and that it was a way of expressing their feelings in the house.

However, his public perception changed after viewers perceived him as making "transphobic remarks" about another housemate, Hallie Clarke.
