However lead actor Bradley Walsh, has revealed why there might not be another series.

During a recent appearance on This Morning the ITV star addressed the beloved show’s return.

Holly said: “There was something you wanted to clear up and clarify and this is of course The Larkins.

“There were reports last year that series two might be the last, but you want to clear that up.”

Bradley admitted that he had been receiving calls about rumours the show was ending because of the ratings.

Addressing the viewing figures speculation, Bradley penned: “The viewing figures were absolutely fine, there was nothing wrong with the viewing figures they were fantastic, in comparison to the first series it all went well.

He explained that due to his busy schedule he hasn’t got time to film a 14-week shoot, as he doesn’t have 14 weeks free this year.

The actor then went on to reveal that it’s down to him that they might not be able to film another series.

However, he was quick to reassure fans that the producers are trying to organise filming a special with all the cast.

He shared: “So that’s what it’s all about, The Larkins is a fantastic show. Barns (his son Barney) worked on that with me as well.

“I just loved it, it was brilliant. They were heart-warming and it was just fantastic.

The ITV star concluded: “It’s purely down to the fact that I have not got the time to make another series at the moment.”

The much-loved ITV series is an adaptation of the classic novel The Darling Buds of May by H.E. Bates
