Britain’s Got Talent fans ‘work out’ The Phantom is ex-contestant after ‘giveaway’ VT clue

BRITAIN’S Got Talent fans reckon they’ve figured out who The Phantom is after he failed to make it to the final.

The illusionist’s identity has been a closely-guarded secret, with them not even performing the full act during rehearsals to avoid witnesses finding out.

Britain’s Got Talent fans think that they have ‘worked out’ who the The Phantom is after a mind-boggling trick

Amanda Holden and David Walliams took part in the act’s performance on Thursday

The ITV competition comes to an end this evening, when the finalists take a shot at being crowned BGT winner at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.

But people at home are still desperate to unmask old favourites like The Witch and The Phantom.

And many have turned amateur detective, after judge David Walliams asked The Phantom to “stand on the X” at the end of his performance.

“The Phantom is definitely Marc Spelmann, who returned a couple years later as Magician X. I’m 100 percent sure of it,” one said.

Another added: “I love the phantom and i really think it is marc spelmann because it keeps relating to x.”

A third chipped in: “The phantom is X I’m so convinced, the delivery of this VT is just giving me Marc Spellman vibe.”

Marc Spelmann is a magician who he has appeared on the show once as himself in 2018, and again as Magician X the following year.

This isn’t the first time fans have thought this.

When the act first appeared on our screens back in April for the 15th series, many were convinced it is the former show star back for a THIRD attempt at winning.

Marc ended up in the semi-finals during the 12th series of the show four years ago.

He was Ant and Dec’s Golden Buzzer pick.

The series was won by stand-up comedian Lost Voice Guy.

Then in 2019 he appeared on the show again as X.

Marc, who placed second in the competition, was beaten to the top spot by 89-year-old singer Colin Thackery.

Britain’s Got Talent final airs this Sunday on ITV at 7.30pm
