The act has trained at Brookside star Jennifer Ellison’s theatre school, Jelli Studios.

And just last week some of the students performed at the finale of Eurovision in Liverpool.

Jennifer praised them and wrote: “My fantastic students doing me proud today at Eurovision! Thank you to everyone who made it possible. What a day.”

She added: “Wow wow wow!!! Words cannot express just how proud we are of our amazing students who OPENED THE GRAND FINAL of tonight’s Eurovision song contest performing to 130 MILLION people.

“Supporting last year’s winners from Ukraine, the legendary.”

Last night the actress gushed over Unity’s incredible performance on the ITV talent show, which saw them land head judge Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer, despite him already pressing it earlier in the series.

Alongside a photo of the gold confetti, Jennifer penned: “Never have I ever been so proud in all my life!

“I’m so lucky that my incredible students were brave enough to tell their stories!

“Omg did it pay off?? Simon’s golden buzzer when there wasn’t any left!

“He listened to the audience, I said it on the day, the audience pressed that buzzer! We spoke they listened!

“Thank you so much it means the world!

“This is for anyone who has been made to feel they are not good enough or different! That golden buzzer was for you!”

The judges were moved by their empowering routine to The Village, by Wrabel.

The stunning audition included powerful messages from a number of the performers.

The judges were up on their feet after the dance and were full of praise.

Bruno Tonioli said: “You can be anything you want and anyone you want in life, the message is loud and clear. The execution, artistically, the choreography was superb. It really is a fantastic performance at every level. I had goosebumps”

Amanda Holden told them: “I was such a beautiful, passionate piece. The message was so strong. Everything you stand for, all of your personalities, the love you have for one another, made this such an amazing and special thing.”

Alesha Dixon added: “I was very moved by that, that’s how you use a stage. I’m very proud of you.”

And as it came to Simon, the audience started chanting for the Golden Buzzer to be pressed.

He told the group:  “I thought that actually was astonishing. The way you got your message across was so strong and it’s an audition I’ll never forget. We don’t have any golden buzzers left… but sometimes you should just break the rules”.

As he pushed down on the buzzer, he said: “You deserve that golden buzzer, it was absolutely beautiful.”

The golden buzzer is on the judges’ panel which, when pressed, means you are automatically granted a place in the Semi-Finals.

This will mean they will skip past the boot camp stage of the competition, ultimately giving them a head start.
