CAROL Vorderman cheekily called out James May’s “hot” new look in a flirty segment on Lorraine.
The former Countdown star, who is fronting Lorraine Kelly‘s ITV chat show this week, praised her long-time pal’s suave appearance as he promoted his latest series.

Former Top Gear star James told how he had enlisted the help of wardrobe assistants to freshen up his look ahead of his three months in Europe for new show Exploring Italy.
After spotting an image showing him posing by one of Italy’s vast lakes, sporting a navy blue blazer and pale blue shirt, Carol cheekily told him: “You look quite hot in that, James.”
As he replied: “Do I?” she continued: “It shows off your six pack and your toned, slim physique.”
The Grand Tour presenter, who was left smiling, again questioned: “Do I have one?” to which Carol assured him: “You do in that suit!”
Later in the chat, James admitted he had learned Italian for his new presenting gig, before complimenting Carol’s dress in the language.
It hasn’t just been James who has been impressed with Carol’s outfits, with fans gushing over her lime green patterned gown earlier this week.
She sported a plunging floral gown during day two of her hosting gig.
The maths whizz accessorised with a chunky necklace filling the space left by her low cut frock.
Carol gave her followers a glimpse of the three looks on her instagram, all of which received a resounding thumbs up from her legions of admirers.
One gushed: “Looking so stunningly beautiful and you done well Carol.”
A second added: “Pure beauty looking so gorgeous this morning get well soon Lorraine.”
Carol has been drafted in to host Lorraine while its host recovers from coronavirus.
Carol told Susanna and Ed Balls: “Lorraine’s caught the dreaded you know what, and I’m sitting in for a few days here, which I’m delighted to do.
“But we are wishing her a speedy recovery as she is a bit [sad face].”
Sharing pics of her pet dogs on Instagram, Lorraine said: “The dreaded Covid has finally caught up with me. So thankful to the scientists who developed the vaccine! Being looked after by @rosiekellysmith @rubyisasausage and @steveandangussmith.”
