Celeb SAS Who Dares Wins fans shocked as ‘Liz Truss appears’ in final

CELEBRITY SAS: Who Dares Wins viewers were seeing double on tonight’s finale by becoming convinced Liz Truss had taken on the role of an interrogator.

Debs, who has made several appearances on the show, has specialist training in interrogation techniques, and used all of them on the remaining recruits on tonight’s finale episode of the endurance series

But her small stature, blonde bob and distinctive features gave fans a shocker – as they became convinced it was the recently stationed Prime Minister, Liz Truss… only with far more screaming involved than thankfully Truss is known for.

Naturally, Twitter had a field day, taking the edge off some of the more brutal techniques she enforced, including burying Maisie Smith and Calum Best alive in a box filled with sand in order to make them give up their cover story and admit they were training with the British Army.

“Who knew Liz Truss was a special forces interrogator?!?” wrote one astonished viewer.

“Liz Truss already moved on…. Now moon lighting on SAS: Who dares wins,” joked a second.

While a third grabbed a moment Debs squared up to Calum Best in the interrogation room and jested it looked like “Liz Truss having a quiet word with Jeremy Hunt at Chequers.”

Liz Truss definitely has a more gentle hand than her Channel 4 doppelganger, who aimed to get under the skin of the remaining seven recruits by picking at their cover story of “being in Jordan for a celebrity charity photoshoot”.

She particularly got under the skin of Calum Best, referring to him only as the “son of George Best” and even writing it on his forehead.

Depriving the remaining recruits of sleep for more than 30 hours, the celebs were also blindfolded and forced to listen to horrific noises designed to cause physical and mental torture.

They were then picked apart for their stories, covered in ice cold water to be cracked, and drilled by Debs alongside lead interrogator Dilksy, who often screamed in their face, picked apart their appearance and tried to break them mentally.

Eventually, four of the recruits managed to complete the course – Strictly’s AJ Pritchard, Ferne McCann, Eastenders’ Maisie Smith as well as Calum, meaning they were all passed after the final, gruelling trials.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is available on Channel 4 and 4OD.
