New Comedy Series Unveiled
CHANNEL 4 has unveiled a brand new comedy series set to rival popular shows like Flatmates and Fresh Meat. Titled "It Gets Worse," the show follows the lives of dysfunctional roommates Ethan, Abi, and Sam, who are best friends from Uni.
About the Show
Since moving to London, not much has progressed for the trio, and now their landlord is selling up. Faced with the threat of being kicked out, can they keep their friendships alive once dispersed across the city?
Written and Created by Leo Reich
The series is written, created by, and stars actor and comedian Leo Reich. "It Gets Worse" is expected to comprise six 30-minute episodes in total.
Excitement from the Creators
Leo Reich expressed his excitement about the show, stating, "I see you, I love you, I am you. I'm going to try my absolute hardest to do our community justice. I'm so excited!"

Charlie Perkins, Channel 4's Head of Comedy, added, "Leo has this ability to distil the swirling complications and idiosyncrasies of his generation into succinct, spiky, and incredibly funny writing and magnetic performances."
Similar Comedy-Dramas
Viewers may recall past Channel 4 comedy-drama Fresh Meat, which depicted a group of eclectic housemates who were University students sharing a house due to late applications. Flatmates, a BBC coming-of-age comedy-drama, followed a similar premise of teenagers taking their first steps into the adult world.
Flatmates was a spin-off of the hit CBBC show Millie Inbetween, intended for an older audience, and concluded its run in August 2021.
