Channel 4 has made a surprising move this week by ditching a fan-favourite series, A Place in the Sun, from its daytime schedule. The popular home hunting show will be replaced by live coverage of Crufts 2025.

A Place in the Sun, which has been a staple in Channel 4's lineup for 22 years, will no longer air at its usual 3pm slot. Instead, viewers can expect to see live coverage of Crufts, featuring Clare Balding as the presenter.
What to Expect
On Thursday and Friday, Channel 4 will interrupt their regular programming at 3pm to bring viewers the latest from Crufts. The schedule will return to normal after an hour, with A New Life in the Sun airing at 4pm.
For Saturday and Sunday, the channel will clear its schedule from 2pm to 6pm for full coverage of the dog show, with Clare Balding announcing the winning dog on Sunday evening.
