Channel 4 Shakes Up Schedule for Paralympics

Popular Shows Pulled Off Air

Channel 4 has announced a major schedule shake-up as popular shows are taken off air to make room for the Paralympic Games. The broadcaster has completely revised its offering in preparation for the event, with rolling coverage set to kick off at 6:30pm.

Clare Balding to Present Opening Ceremony

The Paralympic coverage will be fronted by Clare Balding, with a presenting team that includes former Strictly winner Rose Ayling-Ellis as the first deaf live sports presenter on British TV. Other familiar faces such as Ellie Simmons, Ade Adepitan, and Vick Hope will also feature in the coverage.

Fan Favorites Disappear from Screens

Viewers can expect a host of Channel 4 favorites to be off the air for over a week. Shows like "A Place in the Sun," "Kirstie and Phil's Love It or List It," and "George Clarke's Old House, New Home" will be impacted by the schedule changes. However, fans can look forward to brand new episodes of "A Place in the Sun" launching on Monday, September 9.
