Non-suspicious death

The cause of death is not being treated as suspicious by authorities. It is believed to be a tragic accident.

Reality TV journey

Charlie Newling gained fame as a contestant on Ali Oetjen's season of The Bachelorette in 2018. He quickly became a front-runner on the show, earning the nickname "Mr Perfect" from viewers for his strong "family values".

Personal struggles

Following his time on the reality TV circuit, Newling experienced personal struggles. He briefly dated Dasha Gaivoronski from The Bachelor's season featuring the Honey Badger and later entered a relationship with influencer Esme DeWitt in 2019.

In September of that year, Newling faced legal troubles when he was charged with threatening to torture and kill his stepfather. His lawyer revealed that he had battled alcohol abuse and had suffered childhood trauma after his father's death in 2018 from an overdose.

Following a trial, Newling spent one month in custody and served the remainder of his 13-month prison sentence in the community.

A heartbreaking loss

Charlie Newling's tragic death has shocked fans and loved ones alike. His partner Kristal Taylor had recently given birth to their baby girl, adding to their family which included Newling's 13-year-old son from a previous relationship.
