Damon Hay, played by Ciarán Griffiths, is set to make a comeback to the cobbles to cement his new business partnership and his love life takes a turn for the better when Sarah Barlow, portrayed by Tina O'Brien, suggests a date. However, it seems Damon's revenge plot against Adam Barlow may not last long as he finds himself facing a familiar face.

Damon's return to the cobbles is motivated by his desire to get revenge on Adam Barlow. However, fans were disappointed to learn that actor Ciarán Griffiths actually resides in Australia, which means his return to Coronation Street will only be temporary. Taking to Twitter, one fan expressed their disappointment, stating, "It’s an actually pity Ciarán (Damon) lives in Australia in real life... it just means he won’t be staying."

The lure of Australia

Ciarán Griffiths recently starred in the thriller Riptide, created by the production company behind Neighbours. When asked if he would ever consider appearing in the Australian soap opera, Griffiths expressed his interest, saying, "If it meant I could have regular work near my family, then absolutely." He also mentioned the appeal of the laid-back lifestyle and better weather in Australia compared to the cold cobbles of Coronation Street.

An exciting and dramatic storyline

Corrie boss Iain MacLeod teased what's in store for Damon, describing it as a "brilliant, exciting, high octane story." As Damon's revenge takes a backseat to his feelings for Sarah, tensions rise when Adam becomes suspicious of Damon's intentions.
