THE fight for Alfie’s custody has begun and Abi Webster is trying to clean up her act to keep him.
Unfortunately, Imran Habeeb has plans to thwart her efforts by using her past with drugs against her next week in Coronation Street.
Who will Alfie be able to stay with?
Since his unexpected birth, the baby boy has been at the centre of controversy in Weatherfield.
But now that Imran’s (portrayed by soon-to-be former Corrie star Charlie De Melo) fiancée Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) knows the complete truth of his one night stand with Abi (Sally Carman) the solicitor can focus on his main worry – keeping his son at his side.
He is aiming to do so with Toyah raising Alfie with him.

However, while the mechanic is trying to prove she can be a fit mother for the baby, Imran resorts to underhanded tricks.
Coming up, he first meets up with Ben and instructs him to find out everything he can about Abi but Toyah isn’t impressed.
Yet when she hears Abi and her own solicitor Elliot discussing ways to scupper Imran’s chances of custody, Toyah changes her mind and tells Imran she fully supports his plan.
Abi, on the other hand, is trying to build a bridge after weeks of tension building up between the trio.
While in the neonatal unit, she tells both Toyah and Imran she’d like them all to be a part of Alfie’s life.
Sadly for her, this won’t do anything to stop Imran in his tracks.
Ben calls at the solicitor’s and, having failed to find any dirt worth using against Abi, suggests that he could set her up for a fall.
Imran refuses… but urges Ben to keep on digging.
Later, he meets up with Ben and tells him he will be needing hard evidence that Abi is back on the drugs before the custody hearing.
But what does he have planned?
As mentioned above, both Abi and Imran are more than set on fighting for Alfie’s custody.
While the former wants another chance at motherhood, a year after her son Seb’s death, the latter appears determined to make it up to Toyah as he has ruined her chances of adopting foster daughter Elsie.
Could he really sabotage Abi’s image for Alfie?
