FEELING guilty over Ted’s death, Emma Brooker forms an unexpected and dangerous bond with his grandson Jon.
What could his arrival in Coronation Street trigger for Emma and partner in crime Faye Windass (Ellie Leach)?
Emma (played by Alexandra Mardell) is not one for safe connections in the ITV soap.
Upcoming scenes of the show – ahead of Alexandra’s exit from the programme – will show her getting chummy with Jon Spear (Jordan Ford Silver).
Emma spots Ted’s grandson Jon in Freshco’s car park as he collects the trolleys… unaware that he also has an eye on her.

Later, Jon calls in the Rovers looking for Emma, explaining that he saw her watching him while he was working in the car park.
Jon admits to Emma that he’s thought about her a lot since his grandfather’s funeral, which she attended alongside Faye, awash with guilt.
Surprisingly, Jon suggests they go for a bite to eat and the pair head to Speed Daal.
The chemistry between the pair is palpable as Emma is fascinated and Jon is clearly smitten by her.
But Faye is far from approving of the budding relationship and isn’t afraid to show it.
In the salon flat, Faye rails at Emma for going on a date with Jon, reminding her that her boyfriend Craig even gave up his career in the police for them following her confession.
ITV viewers know that Faye has told the former Police Constable all about her involvement in Ted’s death as soon as she realised that the authorities were closing in on them.
Unwilling to turn them over to the police, Craig made the ultimate sacrifice by quitting the force to avoid all involvement in the investigation.
Ted (Duggie Brown) died from a blood clot caused by an accident during which Faye and Emma ran him over.
He was first convinced he needed no help and returned home, only to be found dead in his armchair by the pair.
Emma and Faye have been covering their tracks ever since with the latter being particularly on edge as she’s just been released from prison on bail.
After being met with Faye’s disapproval, Emma hears her phone beep with a text from Jon.
Will Emma manage to keep her secret from Jon?
Or could she betray Faye for a chance at love, following her rocky engagement with Curtis Delamere?
Will the friends turn on each other before parting ways altogether?
