KILLER Pat Phelan’s return wreaks havoc on Todd Grimshaw and George Shuttleworth next week in Coronation Street.
Ther serial killer terrorised the cobbles for almost five years before falling into the sea during a confrontation with his wife Eileen Grimshaw.
But it looks like Pat’s reign of terror on the cobbles isn’t over just yet as Todd makes a horrible discovery next week while conducting a clearout of the storeroom at the funeral parlour.
Eileen, meanwhile, pops by to check on Todd after his showdown with Bernie Winter earlier that day.
But she gets more than she bargained for when Todd emerges from the storeroom clutching Pat Phelan’s ashes and shouting all sorts at the owner George.
He quickly changes his tune when he spots Eileen – and claims he saw a huge spider in the basement.
After finally getting rid of Eileen, Todd shoves the ashes in front of George and demands to know what’s going on.
“I don’t get jumpy at spiders,” Todd says, “[but] I do at serial killers!
“Particularly ones that used to be married to my mum!
“Why have you got Pat Phelan’s ashes?”
George looks at Todd in horror as he plonks the ashes in front of him, but will he reveal why he’s got the serial killer’s ashes in his basement? And will Eileen discover the truth?
Viewers will remember evil Pat Phelan’s reign of terror, which ran from 2013 to 2014, saw him blackmail Owen Armstrong and Gary Windass before forcing Anna Windass into having sex with him.
He returned in 2016 and tied the knot with Todd’s mother Eileen Grimshaw while committing numerous crimes, including a string of murders.
He even tried to kill his daughter Nicola Rubinstein before being murdered by Eileen in 2018.

Actor Tony Maudsley, who plays George, recently hinted at a shock return for murderer Pat Phelan.
He revealed: “George is innocent, he gets embroiled in it.
“He hides something from Eileen which gives her the biggest shock of her life; I don’t know why he doesn’t expect such a big reaction.
“Yes, he is landed in hot water, poor George. This does involve one of Eileen’s most murderous old flames.”
