Coronation Street’s Sally Dynevor tries out terrifying lift in Dancing on Ice training with partner Matt Evers

CORONATION Street actress Sally Dynevor bit her lip as she soared into the air in a complex lift during her Dancing On Ice training.

The ITV soap favourite, who plays Sally Webster, is switching Weatherfield for the wintery surroundings of the reality show this month.

The Sally Webster actress has been paired with Dancing On Ice pro Matt Evers for the upcoming series

She has been paired with pro Matt Evers and the pair took to Altrincham Ice Rink, not a million miles away from the Coronation Street set, to practise ahead of the show launch.

Sally wrapped up in a blue puffer jacket and dark leggings before pulling on her white skates and hopping onto Matt’s right shoulder.

She understandably looked a little uncertain as she held her arms out for balance, before her professional partner swooped in and propped them up into a T-shape.

After practising their lifts the pair headed onto the ice for a skate.

The soap star could be seen giggling as she took an unfortunate slip before another team member rushed to assist.

Sally was officially announced as part of the Dancing On Ice 2022 line-up last October.

Speaking to ITV’s Lorraine she said: “If I don’t do it this year I don’t think I’m ever going to do it. I’m completely out of my comfort zone… I’ve just got to try and enjoy this experience.

“I’ve had a couple of lessons, I’ve just started… it’s started to kick in, the training.”

Meanwhile, the telly favourite and US skater Matt met for the first time in November in a big unveiling after it was revealed she was competing in Dancing On Ice 2022.

Sally will be skating alongside Matt who has been partnered with the show’s biggest stars over the years including Gemma Collins, Denise Welsh, Denise Van Outen, and Pamela Anderson.

He made history as Dancing On Ice’s first ever same-sex pairing with H from Steps, paving the way for Strictly to follow suit with Johannes Radebe and John Whaite.

Sally gushed about her new partner: “Yes I have my partner and I’m so excited. The journey really begins @themattevers@dancingonice.”

Matt, 45, had been undercover in a secret location while producers set up the big meet.
