They smiled at each other as the platforms sped from backstage onto the main rink, both surprised it went well.

“We did it,” Phillip said to his co-host as they came to a stop, before saying to Holly, “and you didn’t scream.”

“I gave out a tiny little one,” Holly admitted, after looking terrified during the stunt.

Fans loved the gravity defying stunt.

“Wow! What an entrance! Phil and Holly on podiums is amazing! Loved that!” wrote one fan on Twitter.

Another added: “Phil and Holly looked very uncomfortable on those sliding platforms just now. I was expecting Holly to start screaming.

During rehearsals for the stunt, Holly was seen screeching that she “can’t breathe” while rehearsing a Dancing On Ice stunt.

Holly, 41, could be seen screeching and asking for help as she was strapped up to a disk on the ice, where she was due to be wheeled out.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Phil, 59, revealed how they were about to be “pushed out onto the ice on podiums” as part of the stunt.

In the background, the mother-of-three could be heard making noises as she was strapped in with a white cord.

“It’s going to be alright, Holly, you’re going to be OK,” a studio manager could be heard encouraging her as she babbled and panicked.

“She’s really panicking,” Phil continued, as he laughed towards the camera, while Holly said: “I’m never going to be able to let go of this.”

The TV host continued to film as he was pushed out onto the ice by a team of skaters, insisting to his followers it was “fun”.

Holly followed behind, where she could be heard screeching and telling the cast and crew: “I don’t think I can do this. I can’t breathe.”

The video ended as the crew clapped both of the presenters for rehearsing the stunt.
