MUSICIAN Connor Ball dropped his Dancing On Ice partner Alexandra Schauman in a brutal training accident before she smashed onto the rink.
Photos captured the moment The Vamps bassist tossed a horrified Alexandra into the ice.
Connor, 25, whose band’s first ever single was Can We Dance?, was spotted attempting a head banger with the pro skater, 41, during their latest training session.
But Alexandra shrieked as the risky lift and spin went out of control and she plunged into the hard ground.
The pair, who share a 16 year age gap, will perform live for the first time on Sunday’s show.
He’ll make his debut on the rink in the second batch of celebrity contestants alongside Liberty Poole, Ben Foden, Regan Gascoigne and Stef Reid.
The former S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens was also on the line-up but she has had to delay her skating journey after fracturing her wrist during training and hopes to join back in week three of the show.
Bez, whose real name is Mark Berry, took to the ice during Sunday’s first live show but tested positive for Covid-19 the following day.
Discussing her fellow celebrities’ sudden absences, Liberty said there is a feeling of “anticipation” of what else could happen but says this is what they “signed up for” when joining the show.
“I feel like you get a lot of support when situations like that happen”, she added.

Brendan Cole is bookmaker Coral’s favourite to win Dancing on Ice 2022 at odds of 3-1 following the opening night of the show where the former Strictly pro topped the scoring charts.
Kimberly Wyatt is the second favourite at 7-2 after impressing with her first skate of the series.
“Brendan is the clear favourite to be crowned winner of Dancing on Ice this year after a fantastic opening skate placed him well clear of the others to perform on the first night of the series,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
“Kimberly definitely exceeded expectations in our eyes and we’ve cut the odds on her winning the show after Sunday’s performances,” added Aitkenhead.
