DANCING ON Ice’s Graham Bell admitted he feels “so guilty” after partner Yebin “lost a chunk of her leg” when he fell over and cut her.
American skater Yebin, 36, was badly injured when Graham’s skate stabbed her in the shin.
Sitting on the side lines, former Olympic skier Graham Bell looked sheepish as he told host Phillip, 52, how sorry he was about the accident.
He said: “I am so sorry, I feel so guilty.
“I fell and Yebin fell on my skate and slashed her leg open.”
He went on: “Its the worst feeling. I’m used to injuring myself but not hurting other people – it’s terrible.”
Graham was sat with his temporary partner but Yebin was there sat on a table to assure him she was feeling better.
Phil introduced Yebin, saying: “She’s here, she’s missing a chunk of her leg but she’s here!”
The American skater, 36, told the hosts: “I’m feeling a lot better and its healing really well. I’m looking forward to coming back really soon.”
The injury left her tendons exposed as the blade tore through her muscle.
Judge Jayne Torvill said: “It was particularly nasty one.
“We’ve all had a kick on the shin, but this was a bit more than that – a lot more.
“I believe she had to stay overnight in hospital so it wasn’t like just getting a few stitches.
“Once in a while you do get these freaky accidents that just happen and it’s nobody’s fault.
“I just hope she makes a full recovery soon.”
Her Olympic skate partner Christopher Dean revealed Yebin’s injury was more serious than first thought.
“Ice is so unforgiving,” he said.
