DEADLINE viewers raged “you’re fooling no-one!” after spotting a number of glaring location blunders.

The new murder mystery, which airs on Channel 5, hit our screens on April 5.

The drama series is set in London – but mainly filmed in Budapest

Deadline follows the story of a woman called Natalie Varga, who is accused of killing her husband.

An investigative journalist called James Alden takes an interest in the case – but is left conflicted when she starts to fall for the “Killer Socialite”.

While the four-part series is set in London, much of the filming took place in Budapest.

Fans of the show aren’t impressed that they’ve tried to pass off the capital of Hungary as the Big Smoke.

One wrote on Twitter: “And you’re fooling no one using Budapest for London. Terrible programme.”

Another said: “Having #Deadline set in London but filming it in Budapest really spoils it.”

“It’s so obviously not the U.K. #Deadline,” a third chimed in.

A fourth tweeted: “Do programme makers think we’re stupid and that we don’t recognise UK architecture? So obviously not Cambridge or London!”

It comes after others had the same complaint just minutes into the thriller’s premiere earlier this week.

Viewers were less than impressed by the new murder mystery and took to Twitter to voice their opinions.

Despite the promising plot, reminiscent of the 1992 Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas film Basic Instinct, many weren’t convinced by the new programme.

Many of them swarmed to social media to put the new show on blast.

“Five minutes in and am already thinking Deadline is going to be one of those Channel 5 dramas that looks good on paper but ends up being terrible”, one disappointed viewer wrote on Twitter.

Another simply commented: “Don’t like it.”

The series first aired on Tuesday night, the second hit our screens last night and the third and fourth episodes will be shown tonight and tomorrow.

These instalments are also set to hit the screens at 9pm.

Much of the show was filmed in Budapest, where a six-week shoot took place in August, 2021.

The cast includes Peaky Blinders star Charlie Murphy, James D’Arcy and Indra Ové.

Brian Caspe and Anamaria Marinca also appear in the new programme.
