DEATH in Paradise boss teased a first look into series 11 – expect more murder and mystery.
The BBC drama is airing a Christmas special for the first time in ten years on Boxing Day.
The 90-minute episode, sees DI Neville Parker solving yet another murder along with some guest stars.
Executive producer, Tim Key, has teased what viewers can expect in the 11th series.
Viewers will finally see the end of the series 10 cliffhanger – where Ralf Little’s Neville confessed his love to Joséphine Jobert’s Florence.
Is it the start of blossoming romance?
Tim has promised DI Parker’s love for DS Cassell will be explored in the new season.
He told Metro.co.uk: “All I can tell you is when the show comes back viewers will absolutely find out what happens next. When it’s back, we will let everybody know.
“With situations like Neville and Florence’s, it’s very hard. If you get people together it can be the end of a partnership in dramatic terms, but at the same time you can’t stretch things out for too long because the audience get frustrated.
“We’ve got a really cool plan, we know where it’s going and the audience will be very satisfied with it. There’s a story to tell and I think we needed the time to tell it.”
Series 11 will also see the arrival of Honoré Police Station’s newest recruit Sergeant Naomi Thomas who will be investigating a golf course serial killer and a sky-diver killed in midair.
Other guest stars include EastEnders stars Tamzin Outhwaite and Nicholas Bailey, Jason Done from Merlin, Ben Onwukwe from Safe and Ben Starr from Jamestown.
The festive edition of Death In Paradise will air on Boxing Day on BBC One at 7:30pm and iPlayer.
