Mortified Anne Diamond GASPS as Bradley Walsh dresses her down for ‘cheating’ on The Chase celeb special

A MORTIFIED Anne Diamond was left open-mouthed after host Bradley Walsh accused her of “cheating” on the Christmas special.

Broadcaster Anne joined fellow celebs Colin Jackson, Nicky Campbell and Josie Long for a festive episode of the show on Thursday – but chaos soon erupted.

When Anne stepped up to the table, she faced off against resident Chaser Paul Sinha.

Clearly nervous about taking on ‘The Sinnerman’, Anne took to the table where Bradley got the quizzing underway.

However, as he read out the very first question, he was abruptly interrupted by the 67-year-old who pressed her button too early.

Bradley quizzed: “Though we adore men individually, we agree that as a group they’re rather stupid, is a line in what Mary Poppins song?”

But before he could read aloud the final option, Anne’s buzzer went off and the timer began.

“Chim Chim Cheree,” he eventually said before looking around the studio as the sound of the timer drowned out.

The audience erupted in laughter and, after Paul locked in his answer, Bradley jokingly said to Anne: “Don’t go cheating now because you’ve come up here all of a sudden.

“I’ve got to finish the question before you press the button,” he warned her as Anne apologised.

But Bradley’s telling off didn’t stop there as he continued to rant: “You don’t go pressing no button before I finish the question.

“You wait until I finish the question, I give all the alternative answers. You go pressing the button and put him under pressure.”

Bradley rambled as Anne held her hand to her mouth and the ITV audience laughed aloud.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
