Dex plays Bear Sylvester but the Coronavirus pandemic hit soon after he joined making filming tricky
Soon after he joined, the Coronavirus pandemic hit and forced TV shows to put stringent health and safety regulations in place to be able to continue filming.
Speaking exclusively to The Celeb Report Online, Dex said: “Really quite honestly making that transition from COVID protocols back to normal was hard.
“I started Doctors in the middle of 2019, so I spent more time two metre distancing with a single camera than I have with two cameras.
“So my default now is just to step away [from people] and it’s been a challenge to kind of get back to that.”

Dex also teased what Doctors fans can expect from the show’s Christmas episodes.
Like all soaps, Christmas is a time for big storylines and Dex revealed the show is going all out this year.
He teased: “Our Christmas episode this year is very juicy, secrets come out and change everything.
“It will be a Christmas viewers are never going to forget and Mill Health Centre will never be the same again.”
While Dex remained tight lipped over what will unfold during the festive episodes, he admitted the cast have a group chat where they can discuss show spoilers, safe in the knowledge they won’t slip up in public.
He said: “We have a designated spoiler group, we dip in and throw in what we think is going to happen.
“We keep it all in house, we’re very good at keeping it schtum.”
