DWTS’ Olivia Jade DEFENDS Tyra Banks & claims host is ‘killing it’ after fans demand she be ‘fired’ for live TV blunders

DANCING With the Stars contestant Olivia Jade defended host Tyra Banks from all of the fans demanding that she’s fired for messing up multiple times on the show.

After Monday’s broadcast, Lori Loughlin’s daughter, 22, insisted Tyra is “killing it” and doesn’t deserve all of the backlash from viewers.

For Week 6 of DWTS, the teams took turns hitting the stage with horror night-themed performances.

While Kenya Moore and Brandon Armstrong were eliminated, Olivia and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy earned a fairly high score of 36 out of 40 with the Paso Doble.

Afterward, she was all smiles and only had good things to say about the competition series and host Tyra while speaking with reporters backstage.

Olivia was asked how she feels about the model’s performance MCing the show, especially after fans have slammed the 47-year-old’s outfit choices and called her out on her live TV blunders.

The YouTuber defended Tyra, saying: “I think she has been doing great. I love Tyra.

“I think she slays her walk, she comes out there and she is killing it.

“I really love her and I have nothing but good things to say.”

DWTS’ Cheryl Burke jumped in to have the host’s back, as well, telling reporters that Tyra has been “doing amazing” in her role on the reality show after replacing Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.

She continued: “I thought tonight she definitely stood out to me in a good way, she has been very sweet and supportive, she’s also developed relationships with all of us and I think that is very important to have that personal connection.

“She looked gorgeous tonight and she has definitely found her own stride with the show… So I think she is doing great.”

Before defending Tyra from criticism, Olivia called attention to all of the hate she’d been getting from viewers, as well.

Prior to their dance, the YouTuber confessed in her intro package that she’s aware most of the audience may not be a huge fans of hers.

“I guess people just don’t like me,” she said after landing in the bottom two last week despite having high scores.

“But I want to stay in this competition and give people no choice but to vote for me.”

Despite it all, Olivia said she wanted to stay on the ABC reality show since she’s having “so much fun” with her partner Val.

After the influencer said she didn’t understand why she’s not super liked by everyone, fans of the show responded online.

They slammed her for “playing the victim” and said she shouldn’t even be on the show after her and her family’s association with the 2019 college admissions bribery scandal.

Still, the main aspect of the show most angering fans is Tyra, who took over hosting duties during the show’s 29th season, filling in for the fired Tom.

Viewers called her an “epic failure” as ratings reached a lower-than-usual level.

Her extreme wardrobe on the show has been controversial among fans, as well, and her extravagant Snow White evil queen outfit earlier this month was no exception.

Fans have chimed in to say that Tyra, who previously messed up reading her lines for the show, has been trying too hard on the fashion, and not hard enough on the actual hosting.
