Little Mo – Freddie’s mum – was played by Kacey Ainsworth until she left in 2006
Freddie is the son of Little Mo Slater – who was played by Kacey Ainsworth from 2000 to 2006.
Little Mo fell pregnant with Freddie after being raped by her friend Graham Foster.
She refused to have an abortion despite the traumatic ordeal that lead to her pregnancy, and the fact it lead to the breakdown of her marriage to Billy Mitchell.
Little Mo left Albert Square in 2006 for a new life in Devon with Freddie, but since his return to Walford last year, Freddie has been keen to find out who his real dad is.
It’s lead die-hard EastEnders fans to beg bosses to bring Kacey back as Little Mo to fulfil the storyline.
Taking to a fan forum, one wrote: “I know the actress is busy in other roles, and has been since leaving EE in 2006. However, I feel EE must’ve had plans to bring her back with the reintroduction of Freddie?
“Even if for a brief stint to learn about his father… or does anyone think that Kat/Billy might tell him the truth?
“I hope we see Little Mo back. If I recall rightly, she was meant to come back for Charlie’s death in 2016 but could not commit.”
Another fan replied: “She’s a glaringly missing piece of the jigsaw in Freddie’s story. It seems like a waste to have him find out about his father without Little Mo being around to play her part in the story.
“Given that the show seems to be firing on all cylinders at the moment, I feel like if they can’t convince Kacey Ainsworth back now for a brief stint, I can’t see it happening at all.”
A fellow fan shared: “I like Freddie but it’s weird having him around without his Mum on screen.”
Meanwhile a fourth commented: “An inevitable return for one week to reconnect with Freddie after he finds out the truth about his father [somehow], imho. Not sure it’ll happen this year, though.”
