Viewers think they’ve worked out exactly when Lola will die

Fans of the long-running BBC One soap have watched the devastating scenes play out since Lola’s terminal brain tumour diagnosis.

Last night she asked grandfather Billy Mitchell to help her end her life before the cancer had a chance.

But with Lola desperate to tell Jay what she had decided, she was forced to put it off when he revealed he’d learned the guitar for her.

He then sang a version of Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight.

Viewers have been left sobbing at the scenes and have now worked out Lola’s time is short.

They’ve taken to social media to point out how her storyline is nominated at this year’s British Soap Awards.

With it being called ‘Loving and Losing Lola’ fans are now sure she’ll tragically die before the awards.

The ceremony is due to take place on June 3, meaning her time is running out.

Taking to social media, one fan said: “I have a horrible feeling that Lola will die on the week of the Soap Awards or just after and I’m not ready.”

A second wrote: “”Loving and losing Lola” This means Lola could die before the Soap Awards in June.”

“I’m guessing lola will die during half term (if it is the first week of june in london like mine,” said a third.

Lola’s funeral scenes have already been filmed with Jay Brown actor Jamie Borthwick at the forefront.

Cameras rolled yesterday in London for Lola’s funeral and snaps revealed most of the soap’s stars will be taking part in the emotional ceremony.

Phil Mitchell star Steve McFadden was seen alongside on-screen son Max Bowden and Callum Highway actor Tony Clay carrying a white coffin covered in a regal flower assortment and branded with Lola’s name.

EastEnders airs on BBC One and iPlayer.
