Beloved Character Makes Her Return
After seven years of absence, Dean Wicks is finding his mark once again in Walford. But things haven't been going well for the EastEnders villain. However, next week, he finally gets a break as his young daughter Jade Green makes her own return. How will their reunion play out?
Dean's Troubled Past
Actor Matt Di Angelo reprised the role of Dean Wicks ahead of Halloween, shocking Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) and BBC One viewers. Despite being accused of rape by Linda less than a decade ago, Dean was able to get into business with soap legend Cindy Beale. However, he still yearned to mend his broken relationship with his long-lost daughter Jade Green.
Dean and Jade's Bonding Opportunity
Upcoming scenes on the London-based program will finally give Dean the chance to bond with Jade, who suffers from cystic fibrosis. Jade returns to Albert Square next week and befriends Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) at The Vic. Although Jade initially rejects her father's attempts to comfort her, a conversation with Gina about absent parents convinces her to give Dean another chance.
Dean's Past Catches Up with Him
Unfortunately, Dean's past catches up with him once again, causing Jade to cut ties with him. Meanwhile, Linda is saddened to learn that her children Nancy and Lee will not be coming home to visit her. Dean decides to make matters worse by rattling Linda even further. This leads Linda to confront Dean at the Beale's Eels new grotto, where she lets him have it.
Keanu's Revelation
Meanwhile, Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) tells Jade about her father's dark past as a sexual predator. Disgusted by this revelation, Jade leaves Walford before Dean arrives at The Vic. Has Dean run out of chances to bond with his daughter?
EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
