“So basically RICE, and keep it extra cool in this heat as it is MEGA swollen still.
“She said ‘hopefully see some improvement and normal walking in four weeks’.
“I’m like, um, I have 12 days until I’m solo again. So healing thoughts please! So healing thoughts please!
“Also for all their uselessness on a weekend, I was checked in, seen by minor injuries, xrayed, seen by minor injuries again, and discharged in under an hour.
“Excellent work all round. Time to get in the paddling pool and keep that ankle cool!”
The previous day she opened up about her injury, which took place in the home she shares with cruise director Robert Brendan and their son.
She wrote: “I stepped into the kitchen and slipped on one of River’s toys and have BUSTED my ankle.
“No taxis available at all, and also no X-ray unit on the weekends at the tiny urgent care centre nearly (and I suspect I may need one as it’s very difficult to bear weight on it and it’s a bit bruised and quite numb).
“So I’m now very excited to spend the heatwave in a minor injuries unit on a Monday morning if it’s no better tomorrow.”
