EastEnders star Shona McGarty has made her relationship with Irish musician David Bracken Instagram official. The 31-year-old actress, who recently split from her co-star Max Bowden, took to social media to declare Bracken her "whole world". The couple posed for a cozy black-and-white selfie as McGarty wrote, "Wedding time. My whole world @davidirishband".

David Bracken, a tattooed musician and one half of Irish guitar duo Blessed, has been dating McGarty for the past few weeks. Blessed frequently performs gigs across Ireland and has amassed over 18,000 followers on Instagram. McGarty had been teasing her new love interest without revealing his identity, but she confirmed it on her Instagram story.
End of a Relationship
McGarty's previous relationship with Max Bowden, who stars as Ben Mitchell in EastEnders, came to an end in October. The couple had been dating for six months before deciding to go their separate ways. Bowden's recent fatherhood with his ex-girlfriend played a role in the couple's split.
Reflecting on Her Decision
McGarty has recently opened up about her departure from the long-running soap after over a decade of portraying Whitney Dean. The actress explained that though it was a difficult choice due to her deep connections within the EastEnders family, she felt it was the right decision for her career. McGarty expressed gratitude for the challenging storylines she was entrusted with and her time on the show, saying, "After 15 years, I've had a pretty good run".
