GETTING her life back on track following her release from prison, Stacey Fowler is ready to move on from former husband Martin.
And despite being married to Eve Unwin, the EastEnders market trader has a new love interest in mind.
After being accused of intentionally pushing Ruby Allen (played by actress Louisa Lytton until September, 2021) down the stairs, thus provoking a miscarriage, Stacey handed herself in to the police.
The character portrayed by Lacey Turner received a six-month sentence but was released on probation in October, 2021.
Stacey returned to Walford, reuniting with her family, but she wasn’t alone as she tied the knot with another former convict, Eve (Heather Peace).

However, this doesn’t stop Stacey from potentially reconnecting with her former flame, Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol).
Although Eve’s continuous clash with Kheerat’s mother Suki pushes them apart, upcoming scenes due to air next week show the characters rubbing elbows once again.
When her job as market inspector fails to make her happy, Stacey decides to launch her own business in the form of a food van, Stacey’s Baps.
Stacey opens her new business venture with the support of her mother Jean (Gillian Wright) and Eve in upcoming scenes due on our screens next week.
A long line of customers is already eagerly waiting when Stacey spots Kheerat.
Served by Jean, the latter shares a longing look with Stacey, implying the chemistry is still very much present between them.
Despite contracting food poisoning, Kheerat then makes a kind gesture towards Stacey by paying the difference for the repairs on her van.
Stacey decides to visit him to thank him but the pair are interrupted by Vinny after sharing a moment.
Later on, however, Kheerat pays Stacey a visit and leaves her smitten with a kiss on the cheek.
But how will Eve react to this connection?
Loyal EastEnders viewers know that, although she remains protective of her, Eve is married to Stacey out of convenience.
Stacey asked to marry Eve to get her out of prison, meaning their marriage is a sham.
And with Stacey set to reconnect with Kheerat, fans can hope to see her finally moving on from Martin Fowler (James Bye).
Stacey and Martin went through a tumultuous relationship and were married for four years from 2016, until 2020.
Despite their separation and divorce, the pair have shared moments, with lingering feelings still being palpable.
This notably led to drama during Martin and Ruby’s relationship, as the latter even faked being pregnant to keep him by her side (before eventually finding out, much to her shock, that she was really pregnant).
Most recently, Martin declined a job as Walford’s market inspector, encouraging Bob Lister to offer it to Stacey instead.
