EastEnders star Steve McFadden, best known for his role as Phil Mitchell on the long-running soap, was recently spotted in Luton during a break from his panto duties.

A chilly break

Despite the cold weather, McFadden opted for a casual look, wearing a woolly hat, hoodie, and shorts as he went about his day in the town.

Starring in Jack and the Beanstalk

The 64-year-old actor is currently starring as Fleshcreep in a production of Jack and the Beanstalk at Luton's Grove Theatre. He was even seen wearing a hoodie from the show.

Long-time EastEnders role

McFadden has been a mainstay on EastEnders since 1990, playing the iconic character of Phil Mitchell. He has had numerous dramatic storylines and his character has been married four times.

McFadden's character, Phil Mitchell, was introduced alongside his on-screen family, including Ross Kemp as his brother Grant and the late Barbara Windsor as his mother Peggy. Ross Kemp recently made a brief return to the show in 2016.
