Emma and Matt said ‘I do’ in a star-studded stunning ceremony at 15th century stately home Rushton Hall in Northamptonshire.
Guests included Ant McPartlin, David Gest, Holly Willougby, Jason Donovan and Kara Tointon.
Despite the happy occasion, Matt revealed how he struggled to enjoy the day.
He said in his new BBC documentary: “Just three days after leaving ‘The Provy’ (Priory) Emma and I got married in front of 150 family and friends.”
He added Emma was an hour late to the church and said: “There was a moment when I thought, ‘she’s not coming.'”
In the clip, Emma and Matt watch their wedding video and she says: “How many people do you think in that room thought ‘this will never last?'”
Emma, 47, opened up on the hardships she and bass player Matt have faced as a result of his addiction problems.
Former Big Brother host Emma was left in tears as she looked back on an old diary from 2008.
Emma told the cameras that she kept a daily list of all the drugs and alcohol Matt had consumed that day.
During one of the days, it could be seen that Emma wrote that Matt was “totally p***ed”.
She revealed that she hadn’t looked back on the diary since locking it away in a draw.
The star said: “The only thing I could think of to keep track, was to keep a diary.
“I don’t think I’ve ever read it since I wrote it.
“It’s literally just notes of… what I knew he had consumed.
“A bottle of champagne, a couple of wines, a couple of wines… another bottle of champagne, and more.”
Matt, who turned 40 last week, also revealed how friends advised the host of The Voice to get out while she still could.
He says: “I thought she would leave me many, many times, and I was involved in some of those times when people were saying that.
“I’m so grateful she didn’t and that she could see something in our relationship that was worth holding on to. And it was ? we have three kids and we’re very happy.
“It’s always hard to hear other people telling your wife to get out, but understandably at the time. I dread to imagine where I’d be without her. I’m thankful for her in so many ways.
“I’m really lucky to have her because a lot of people don’t have someone like her. She’s someone that’s going to stick around.”
