EMMERDALE fans are baffled by David Metcalfe’s HUGE oversight as Meena Jutla stopped to a new low during last night’s second instalment of the soap.
The twisted nurse – played by actress Paige Sandhu – has been busy causing trouble since she joined the village in September last year.

She’s murdered Andrea Tate’s dog to try stop her dating her sister Manpreet’s ex Charles Anderson and implied that she killed her best friend Nadine in a chat with Diane Sugden.
Most recently she’s framed David’s son Jacob Gallagher for stealing a pot of charity money in a sick scheme to get rid of him so she can have the shopkeeper to herself.
But after realising that it was wrong of him to accuse his son of the crime, David went to apologise and the student asked if they could have some time alone without Meena.
Although the nurse put on a great act when he told her the news that he couldn’t make date night because of Jacob, after he left her true colours really did show.
As David drove off Meena realised that her plan wasn’t working.
She took out a bottle of champagne from the bag of goodies she bought for their romantic evening and threw it at the door in anger.
Viewers flocked to Twitter to share their confusion on how David hasn’t picked up on how evil Meena is yet.
One wrote: “#Emmerdale how stupid is David. there are so many red flags flying around Meena that every bill in the UK is heading for them but dopey David can’t see any.”
Another said: “Has David learnt nothing after Maya. Obviously not. Mr Pea Brain #Emmerdale.”
A third added: “David is an EEDIAT! Fully taking Meena’s side #Emmerdale.”
A fourth tweeted: “Has David not learned anything after Maya? Obviously not, f***ing idiot #Emmerdale.”
Things are about to get a whole lot worse for David as Meena is about to kill one of her enemies next week.

She will snap and claim her first victim in the village in scenes bosses are calling “harrowing”.
Soap boss Kate Brooks teased: “Meena has been a whirlwind since arriving in the village, scheming and manipulating people and situations to get what she wants and causing nothing but drama and unnecessary heartache in the process.
“Her seemingly caring facade belies her true persona; a woman with a murky past and no conscience.
“Meena’s lack of empathy is often perceived by those around her as little more than spoilt petulance, however, we soon learn the true extent of her narcissistic and amoral character.
“Malevolent Meena will wreak havoc in the village and once she has you in her sights, no one is safe from her devious and dangerous machinations.
“This storyline will see the viewers gripped as they realise that this is a woman who is capable of anything and everything.”
David is about to cheat on her with Victoria Sugden, and it’s clear she doesn’t like Jacob.
