Caleb Milligan captivated everybody’s attention in the ITV Dales after his lies unravelled in scenes aired last week.
The schemer played by Will Ash was left to pick up the pieces while his son, Nicky, quickly escaped the village on his orders.
In recent scenes, Caleb tried to mend his relationship with Leyla Harding while making enemies left, right and centre.
Comeuppance came to him in the form of a murder attempt during last night’s trip to Emmerdale as Caleb was left lying lifeless at the bottom of a ravine .
But while the aftermath of Caleb’s scheming played out, another character made his own arrival in the village – Charles’ father Victor.

Victor recently ignored Charles’ warning to stay away from his family and made his way to Emmerdale where he first encountered his granddaughter Naomi Walters (Karene Peter).
Charles grew frustrated with Victor for his arrival in the Dales and tried to get Naomi to stay away from him, revealing he’d been imprisoned for more than two decades after attacking a security guard during a robbery.
While Charles and Claudette (Flo Wilson) both urged her to stop trying to connect with Victor, Naomi believed it would only be fair to give him a second chance.
During last night’s episode of the Yorkshire-based drama, Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) told Charles he should try and hear Victor out.
Tonight, Charles is increasingly frustrated by his father’s presence in the village.
