SOCIAL media is becoming more of a burden for Emmerdale teen Amelia Spencer.
The young girl becomes the target of online trolls next week in the ITV soap.
Life in the Dales has been hard on Amelia Spencer (portrayed by Daisy Campbell).
After taking a liking to troublesome Noah Dingle – who responded by trying to take advantage of her – the youngster has been feeling insecure and has struggled to find friends she can rely on.
Sadly, and much like anybody with a profile on social media, she’s also the target of online hate.
However, Samson Dingle (played by Sam Hall) shows her support next week and reassures her when she finds a negative comment under one of her social media posts.
But he won’t be the only villager to show concern for Amelia’s well-being.

In later scenes, Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling) spots her with a suspicious bottle and decides to Google the contents.
Cathy fails to find anything troubling on the Internet as she only see fairly innocent ad selling Apremine.
Little does she know Amelia is trying to distract her, well aware that the supplements she has bought are bad for her.
Amelia has been seen failing to cope with her obsession over social media influencers in recent weeks.
When a video of her and her father Dan (Liam Fox) exercising went viral, making her the laughing stock of the Yorkshire village, Amelia was left feeling humiliated, which only contributed to her insecurity.
Another recent development saw Amelia taking selfies in Home Farm after she was hired to be Thomas’ babysitter by Gabby.
In the eyes of many fans, and as her obsession over her appearance and social media grows, Amelia could be set to suffer from a devastating eating disorder, much like Summer Spellman in Weatherfield – especially after Noah cruelly rejected her.
Will Amelia get the support she needs?
Noah, on the other hand, has been a cause for concern as he harassed and terrorised Chloe Harris.
