MARLON Dingle remains in hospital as he recovers from a horrific stroke – but will he make a full recovery?
Doubts persist next week as the Emmerdale chef receives shocking news about his health.
As Marlon (played by Mark Charnock) continues his journey to recovery following his stroke, his loved ones – more particularly his fiancée Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) – are eager to get him home.
In the meantime, however, all have to join forces to take care of him and lift his spirits, a task Paddy (Dominic Brunt) takes very seriously as he sets up an Easter egg hunt, allowing Marlon to watch via video.
But the activity takes its toll on Marlon, as Rhona is shocked to find out the following day, hoping his exhaustion won’t impact his consultancy meeting.
Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned for the village vet.

The consultant has bad news for Marlon and Rhona.
Although she’s pleased with his progress, the consultant admits he’s not in the best place possible.
Rhona, eager to get Marlon to come back home as soon as he can, presses the consultant for a timeline on his recovery – but her mother Mary is planning to keep her in check.
Mary (Louise Jameson) is worried her daughter is spreading herself too thin as she continues to focus on Marlon’s recovery.
Rhona also has to cope with her role as a mother, which only overwhelms her further.
The no-nonsense character, who reportedly hides a dark past, soon suggests Rhona should separate from Marlon and her daughter can’t handle her insensitivity.
This leads to a tense argument between both characters, who have been estranged for years before Mary’s arrival in the Dales.
Meanwhile, Rhona can also count on April Windsor’s support through this difficult time.
Marlon’s teenaged daughter phoned the ambulance, contributing to saving his life when she found him in Smithy Cottage.
She has since done all she can to help Rhona and her father.
But will Marlon recover completely with no permanent damage?
