EUROVISION fans were stunned to see an 90s icon appear on The One Show before they announced the host city.
Liverpool’s own Sonia surprised fans at home when she appeared on their screens to celebrate Liverpool winning the bid.

She was there for the announcement that Eurovision will be hosted in Liverpool in 2023
Liverpool will host Eurovision 2023 on behalf of Ukraine after beating Glasgow to the bid.
TV host Graham Norton announced the results on The One Show – and confirmed Eurovision’s date will be on 13th May 2023.
However fans got distracted when they saw Sonia, who came second in Eurovision in 1993 with Better The Devil You Know, talk about how great it would be if Liverpool won.
When the results came in, Sonia screamed with joy, leaving fans to remark on seeing the superstar back on screens.
They flocked to Twitter to comment on how young she looked.
One said: “Just watching #TheOneShow and seeing Sonia Evans with her still gloriously fabulous ginger hair. She’s 51 now, no dye needed. Same for me. Ha to all you brunette bullies.”
Another said: “Wow. How young does Sonia look?”
A third, commenting on how youthful she looked, said: “For Gods sake Sonia, just grow up!”
Telly fans rejoiced as Liverpool was named the host city for the prestigious annual music extravaganza.
They flocked to Twitter to comment after host of the show Graham opened the envelope to reveal Liverpool, home of the Beatles, had won the bid over Glasgow.
One fan said: “I’m sure Eurovision will be a high point for Liverpool in the history of popular music.”
Another said: “Yay, Liverpool.”
