GOGGLEBOX fans have broken down in tears after the ten-year anniversary show – as they were reminded of a favourite couple who sadly passed away.
Viewers took to social media to express their thoughts and many tweeted that they were in tears when they saw their favourite couple Leon and June Bernicoff.

Gogglebox’s Leon sadly passed away in 2017
Leon was one of the original cast members of the reality TV show, which first aired back in 2013.
Viewers were left devastated when it was announced in December 2017 that fan-favourite Leon sadly passed away aged 83.
His wife June decided not to continue filming the show without her husband, before she passed away three years later.
The programme paid tribute to the star after she died following a short battle with an illness in May 2020.
As Channel 4 relived some of the programme’s favourite scenes, fans were not only nostalgic but very emotional seeing Leon and June.
One fan wrote to Twitter: “Leon and June I can’t” and accompanied their post with a broken heart emoji.
Another said: “I miss so many of these families! Especially Leon and June,” while a third said: “June and Leon were couple goals.”
A fourth added: “Oh June and Leon miss them so much,” while a fifth concluded: “RIP Leon and June, I’m in and out of tears in this.”
When news broke of Leon’s tragic death, his beloved wife posted a message thanking fans for their support.
June took to Twitter and said: “Thank you folks for all your wonderful messages. Leon would have loved reading them & hearing how much he was loved.”
And Channel 4 also tweeted their condolences. The channel said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and Gogglebox legend Leon.
“We will all miss him so very dearly. Our thoughts are with June and family at this incredibly sad time.”
Three years later, Gogglebox paid tribute to June, as an episode was dedicated to her shortly after her tragic death.
Tonight’s anniversary episode saw a look back at the show’s greatest moments, and saw family favourites including Steph and Dom and the Sandra’s returning to screens.
At the end of the show, Channel 4 also paid tribute to narrator and actress Caroline Aherne, who also sadly passed away in 2016.
